ENDIVE

Cichorium endivia latifolium

190 PAPAREGNA

Winter variety, very resistent to bolting, making it very suitable for late harvesting in April-May. Bulky head with full yellow  heart, broad leaves, crispy, fairly smooth and medium-green in colour. The head, which weighs about 1 kg, has an excellent appearance, and is very tender and crisp. SOWING: october-december.

188 GIGANTE

      DEGLI ORTOLANI

Endive variety with long leaves and very full heart, compact and self-blanching. Forms  heads about 40 cm in diameter, with shiny green outer  leaves and a white heart. Very crispy, fleshy leaves, with a broad, flat central rib. Good resistance to medium-low temperatures. SOWING: particularly suitable variety for autumn and winter cultivation. Can be sown from June onwards.

186 FULL HEART

Particularly suitable variety for spring and summer cultivation. Broad, rounded leaves. Dark green outer leaves, inner forming a large compact heart that promotes natural blanching. Plants about 35-40 cm in diameter. Excellent resistance to heat and bolting.SOWING: in rows from February to September at intervals of about 30 cm, with about 40 cm between rows. 

194 CENTOFOGLIE

Siutable for  summer-autumn production. Good head, that is bulky and heavy. Dark green leaves that are slightly serrated, smooth, forming a rosette at the centre of the head. The heart , that blanches easily, is very tender and crunchy. It is advisable to tie the head a few days before consuming.  SOWING: from June to September, then transplant into rows 30 cm apart leaving 40 cm between the rows. 

196 RICCIA SCHIANA
Scarolella (Ex BIANCA DI NAPOLI)

Long erect leaves, green with white ribs. Harvested when the head is about 20 cm. tall for use in salads or boiled. SOWING: broadcast throughout the year, using 20-30 grof seeds every 10 sq. metres of surface.

200 CENTOFOGLIE

      sel. VENAFRANA

Ideal variety for summer-autumn cultivation. Large head, bright green leaves, very crispy.  SOWING: from may to september.

198 CORNETTO

     DI BORDEAUX

Variety with large, broad and crinkly leaves that curve naturally to form a tall horn-shaped head. Natural blanching. Very resistant to cold. Suitable  for autumn cultivation. SOWING: in rows from July to October. Trasplant when plants have formed 4-5 leaves, at intervals of about 30 cm with about cm between rows.
