     TAGLIO (o ERBETTE)

Early variety. Smooth, dark-green leaves with small veins. Harvest the whole plant when it reaches  15-20 cm.  in height. The tender leaves should be cooked before eating. SOWING: in rows from March to September.

016bc VERDE A COSTA

        LARGA ARGENTATA 3

Variety much appreciated for thick ribs and wider than ARGENTATA 2.  The leaves are bright green color, medium blistering, very tender. Variety with good resistance to bolting. It is sown or transplanted in the open field with distance of 30-40 cm between rows and 15 cm on the row.

It is sown from April / May and July / August. Cultivation cycle of 60 days.

028 VERDE A COSTA LARGA

     ARGENTATA 2

This variety differs from others as it is grown not only for its fleshy stems but also for kitchen use as young plants (greens). Erect plant , about 60 cm tall, resistant to early  flowering. Leaf stems are whitish-silver, broad and thick. Smooth and slightly crinkly leaves, bright  green in colour. Suitable for use both as fresh produce and by the frozen food industry. SOWING: from spring to summer in seeds or outdoors. For seed bed sowings, pullup plants when 4-5 leaves have formed, remove top part and tip of root, replanting at intervals of 30-40 cm, with 40-60 cm between rows. For outdoor sowings thin out plants until the same distance are obtained.

032 RHUBARB CHARD

This variety has crinkly, deep green leaves with reddish veins. Chard stalks are medium wide and red-purple in colour. The whole plant is harvested when it is 15-20 cm high. The tender leaves should be cooked before eating. SOWING: it can be sown in rows from March to September.

030 A FOGLIA LISCIA VERDE

     INVERNALE

Compact head with erect bearing. Grows to 60-70 cm and is very resistant to early flowering. Medium-small white stalks and  smooth, dark green poited leaves. The main characteristic of “Bietina di Sarno” chard is that both the stalks and greens can be used. SOWING: from spring to autumn in a seedbed or directly outdoord. If sown in a seedbed, the seedlings should be uprooted when they have 4-5 leaves. Remove the upper part and tip of the primary root and plant out in rows 40-60 cm apart, leaving 30-40 cm between rows.

031 BARESE

Medium-height plant, very compact, whit erect foliage, medium-length oval semi-pointed leaves, smooth and bright green in colour, with white medium-sized stems. Ideal variety for autumn-winter cultivation.SOWING: from summer to autumn in seedbeds or directly outdoors. For sowing in seedbed, uproot the young plants when 4-5 leaves have formed, remove the upper part  and the tip of the root, and plant out at intervals of 30-40cm, with 40-60 cm between rows.  

032 bc FESTIVAL

La bieta da coste di diversi colori. Trattasi di un misto di biete con foglie leggermente bollose e costicine di vari colori: giallo, rosa , arancio , viola, rosso , bianco.  Prodotto indicato per coltivazione tutto l’anno.
